MapParser Chrome Extension
✓ No data collectionMapParser is a Chrome browser extension that collects publicly available business information (names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, social media links) from map services (2GIS, Yandex Maps, Google Maps) and exports it to CSV or Excel files.
Data We Do NOT Collect
MapParser does not:
  • Collect, store, or transmit any personal user data
  • Send any information to external servers
  • Track user behaviour or browsing history
  • Use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers
  • Share any data with third parties
Local Data Storage
All parsed results are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is automatically cleared when you start a new parsing session.
Permissions Explained
  • activeTab — required to interact with the currently open map page and trigger parsing
  • scripting — required to inject the parser script into the map page
  • storage — required to temporarily save parsed results between popup opens
  • tabs — required to detect which tab is currently active and send it commands
  • Host permissions (2gis.ru, yandex.ru, google.com/maps) — required to fetch business page HTML for contact details (phone, website, email)
Third-Party Services
The extension fetches publicly accessible HTML pages from 2GIS (2gis.ru) to extract business contact details. This is equivalent to a normal browser visit to those pages. No data is shared with any other third party.
Children's Privacy
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
